The CRTC is the first multi-disciplinary Cyber Range platform of its kind developed by Macquarie University.
A Cutting-edge platform integrating dynamic Cyber Security micro-credentials and micro-skills training, spanning the wide spectrum of Cyber Security capabilities from the technical expertise to the cyber governance and leadership.
The CRTC provides a secure environment for enhancing organisations’ Cyber capabilities and resilience. It embeds a scalable and customisable Cyber Security education platform that offers learners a unique hands-on experience backed up by a rigorous world class cyber academic expertise.
‘AnyTown’, a 64-square-metre, four-tonne 3D-printed ‘mini city’ stands as a physical representation of cyber attacks and defences for the curriculum’s simulation exercises.
Co-designed and co-delivered by specialised education and industry partners, including TAFE NSW, Macquarie University, UTS and Microsoft, CRTC offers various levels of learning ranging from technical Cyber Security skills to the Cyber Governance and Policy Compliance functions.
Hands-on training is essential to learners achieving Cyber Security skills. CRTC offers a virtual environment in an isolated network for students to safely practise real security tools, real infrastructure, and real attacks. It facilitates rapid development of practical cybersecurity skills, enhances skill sets, and provides the necessary knowledge to tackle future threats successfully.
Exercises include realistic labs and simulations, based on the real attack scenarios and supported by data recorded during real cyber attacks. The Cyber Range allows trainees to learn adversarial tactics and techniques observed in the wild, and to collaborate on detection and response scenarios in a coordinated way
